Student Impact
Our goal for our students is to put every child that we work with on a different life path. We measure our impact as progress to this goal on three levels - academic growth, values and mindset, and exposure and access. Central to all our impact is leadership. We aim to develop student leaders who show transformational change both in themselves and in their classroom, school, and community.
Acadmic Impact

Mentorship Program
The Mentorship program is introduced for Students good in studies and who could grow more with some directed Attention. Every student is assigned a volunteer on each day of the week, teaching him/her Math, Science and English on different days. Every month, a course is designed for the Student by the mentor, assigned to each volunteer, and a test is organized. We have successfully completed two phases of the program, resulting in immense growth in most students.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya (JNV) Entrance preparation
Apart from providing basic education, there are some students who have been there from the start are now are selected from something above basic education. Thus, we have picked some students eligible and ready enough to appear for JNV entrances and other admission tests. Special care and focused study are provided to those students.
English speaking and Learning
English is a Universal Language, and so is its use. We have been trying to teach the students every possible subject; but a huge area where they lack is in English, which is a major cause of concern. We teach them better pronunciation and daily life usage of English. We aim to help them most in communication, so that language doesn’t pose to be a barrier for the them in the future.
Learning through Videos
Many Lifestyle things like Cleanliness, respect towards Motherland, Good Habits etc. are taught with the help of interactive videos. We have activity classes every Saturday, where the volunteers select a topic and a small video is shown to the students. This has helped them grab a lot of moral values and good ideas.
Computer Learning
Students are also taught about some computer basics, so that would help them in future when they grow up. They are also taught how to use Paint in computer. This, in all provides them a basic idea about computer.
Project ‘KOSHAL’
With the objective to make children skillful and creative, and to add a new dimension to their thinking, WeCan family came up with the idea to start a course on SCRATCH for a limited number of children, to start with. Project Koshal is undertaken by some of the WeCan volunteers with the target to complete it within six months deadline. The project was started on October 13, 2017. Under this project, separate classes are conducted on Friday of every week for some selected children during the regular class timings, i.e. 6 to 8 PM. These classes are made fun and interactive with the use of projector and laptop, bought by the volunteers involved in the project.
WeCan aims at developing each child and make a better future for them as they are the heroes of tomorrow. Everything done and every step taken is for the betterment of the little needy kids. Our alumni saw a dream which we are trying to make true.e to add your own text and edit me. It's easy.
