VOLUNTEERING AT WE CAN
Gandhi ji once said, ‘THE BEST WAY TO FIND YOURSELF IS TO LOSE YOURSELF TO THE SERVICE OF OTHERS'. Volunteering is definitely the best way to find our way back to the realities and understand our roots and traditions of a collectivist society.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Offering individual or small group attention
Engaging children in enjoyable experiences with literature — writing, reading and listening
Helping children feel successful by giving positive feedback and support
Helping with homework in ways that extend children's understanding and interest
Providing information related to personal hygiene and civic sense
Maintaining an informal platform with children to allow them share their problems with you
PROGRAMS OFFERED
2-month internship - Volunteers will be enrolling with us for a period of two months, where they would be co-handling a subject with another volunteer, for one section of students. This internship can further be extended or converted to fellowship based on volunteer’s will and class requirements. The idea of introducing an internship program is to serve two purposes - allowing newbies to try their hands on the role, and keeping lesser period of commitment to allow flexibility.
4-month fellowship - Volunteers will be enrolling with us for a period of four months, where they would be handling one subject for one section of students. These volunteers will be working with an intern(s) to co-manage the class based on requirement and availability of interns.
SELECTION PROCESS
Fill up the application form for internship/fellowship program : The application form has a set of questions aimed to understand candidate’s interest and motivation towards participation. The candidate will receive a confirmation mail within 7 days, if the application gets shortlisted. APPLICATION FORM : TBD
Demo round : In this round, the candidate will be given a task related to his/her interest area(s)(as mentioned by candidate in application form), and he/she will have to demonstrate teaching skills in front of the class. The problems will either be related to specific subject areas or some extra curricular activities based on candidates interest as mentioned in application form.
Face to Face round with interview panel : This round will be a personal interview round where the candidate will be grilled on his/her interest areas as well as commitment towards the role.
Based on performance in all the above rounds, the candidate will be notified of selection within 7 days after completion of all rounds. Candidate will be required to send acceptance over mail to confirm participation.
VOLUNTEER CERTIFICATION
Every participant completing internship/fellowship with We Can will be recognized for their efforts and devotion towards the cause.
